Dr Anton Wiles is a Designated Aviation Medical Examiner (DME) for New Zealand, CASA, FAA and Canada pilot medicals.

Aviation medical appointments are available Mon-Fri. Our reception staff are fully trained in advising you of the tests that you will need to have as part of your application to hold a medical certificate to fly. Unfortunately none of the authorities in different countries are uniform in their requirements so it is always advisable to discuss what is necessary for your medical application prior to your appointment. When applying for a NZ certificate, where possible, your certificate will be issued to you on the same day as your appointment. Sometimes you will need further investigations, in which case, after your application has been assessed and completed, you will be advised to come to pick up your certificate.

You will need to allow at least 1½ to 2 hours with us, at least 25 minutes to complete the application, 20-40 minutes with our nurse and 30-45 minutes with the assessor, depending on what tests are required for your medical (ECG, Spirometry etc.) Blood tests, hearing and specialist eye examinations are all completed off site. Again, our staff will advise you on who our preferred providers are.

Costs for your application and certificate vary, depending on your specific requirements. When making your booking, our staff will advise you.
