Pilot Medicals
Our aviation medical assessments are available Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Our reception and nursing team are well-versed in guiding you through the necessary tests for your medical certification. Since the requirements for medical assessments vary between different aviation authorities, we recommend discussing the specific needs for your application before your appointment.

All fees include GST. Please note that these costs do not cover the processing fees charged by the aviation authorities or any additional specialist testing that may be required.
New Zealand Civil Aviation Authority (CAA)
For CAA medicals, we use the SkyCert system.

In most cases, your certificate will be issued on the same day as your appointment, unless further investigations are required.

Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
FAA applicants must complete their application via the MedXPress system.
​
1. Fill out your application and bring a copy of the 8500-8 summary sheet from your MedXPress account to your appointment.

Transport Canada
For Class 1 Initial Issue applicants, an audiogram and blood test for lipids & glucose are required. We can provide the necessary lab forms and audio contacts.

Please bring your blue Transport Canada booklet for stamping on the day of your appointment.
​
Note: Transport Canada typically takes a minimum of 8 weeks to process an application for a medical certificate.

Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department
We offer renewal services for Class 1, 2, and 3 medical certificates for Hong Kong CAD. Please schedule your appointment no sooner than 28 days before the expiration of your current certificate.
Following your examination, your certificate will be revalidated for 14 days while awaiting the new one from Hong Kong CAD.

Immigration Medicine
At Remuera Doctors, we have Approved Panel Physicians who can provide immigration medical examinations for New Zealand and Canada. These examinations are processed electronically using eMedical, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.

Vaccinations & Immunisations: We ensure that all required vaccinations are up to date, providing the necessary certificates for your immigration application.

What to Bring
Ensure you bring all the required documents and information to your appointment:

Current passport (or Certificate of Identity/Refugee Travel Document). No expired or photocopied documents.

Visa type details.

Glasses or contact lenses, if worn.

Medical history summary from your usual doctor, including regular medications and specialist reports.

Pregnant applicants: letter from your doctor or midwife confirming your estimated date of delivery.

For applicants under 18: parent or legal guardian must accompany.

Signed client declaration (available here).

Interpreter if needed (at your own cost).

For Canadian immigration medicals, also bring:

Examination Details
The examination involves a full body check by the doctor. You may choose a male or female doctor, and a support person is welcome. Privacy and comfort are our priorities.
Radiology and Lab Tests

Chest X-rays: Conducted nearby at Auckland Radiology Group, Remuera branch.

Blood & Urine Tests: Conducted at Labtests Remuera Collection Centre. Blood tests include a full blood count, kidney function markers, and checks for infections. A urine sample is also required.
​
Please do not book your appointment within 3 days of your period. If blood is detected in the urine sample, you may need to return for a repeat test.
​Appointment Duration

Please allow up to 2 hours to complete your medical examination, including blood tests and chest X-ray (if required). Results may take up to 5 days.
