Dr Daniels is one of the most experienced Aviation Medical practitioners in New Zealand, and this experience has been gained over the same time that he has been running a full general practice, providing care to several generations of patients. In his earlier practice he spent time providing many after hours services as a Police Doctor, and established the practice in Remuera - initially on the corner of Victoria Ave (above where Bakers Delight now is) and then moving it to the current location. Bill Daniels provides aviation medicals for New Zealand, Australia, USA, Canada, United Kingdom, Fiji and Moldovan pilots, seeking certification. He provides Immigration medicals for Canada and the USA, as well as NZ. Bill enjoys spending time with his family, travelling, cycling, running and current events. Dr Anton WilesM.B., Ch,B, D.O.bs. (RCOG), F.R.N.Z.C.G.P., Dip Av Med, Silver Medal RNZCGP Dr Wiles established a succesful practice in Ellerslie where he worked for 20 years before moving to join with Dr Daniels in 2001. He taught medical students and trainee general practice registrars for more than 12 years and was integral in running the GP college exams in Auckland for years - for which he was awarded the College's Silver Medal. He was one of the leaders in the formation of the IPAs in Auckland and went on to become chairman of the NZMA in 1998. He was a GP obstetrician from 1980 to 2010, and estimates that he has delivered over 2,000 babies. He was the driving force for the development of Doctors Delivering Babies a group of seven GPOs who provided maternity care for Auckland mums from 1999 to 2004. He remains willing to assist with pregnancy advice and some care. He also provides medical services to NZ Customs, and is a Police Medical Officer for Auckland Central. Anton's passion is snow-skiing, an interest shared with his wife, Bronwen. Dr Candida HatherleyM.B.,B.S., M.R.C.G.P., D.F.F.P. We are looking forward to Dr Candida Hatherley (M.B.,B.S., M.R.C.G.P., D.F.F.P.) joining us early in August this year. Dr Hatherley and her family are moving to NZ from England, where she trained for general practice, and has been working in this for the last 6 years. She enjoys the variety of general practice, and has a special interest in family planning and sexual health issues, including fitting coils (IUCDs) and implanted contraception devices (Jadelle and Implanon).
NursesWe have 3 New Zealand trained registered nurses on staff. Keren NelsonPractice Manager, Senior Practice Nurse Qualified in 1982, Keren has extensive experience in primary care with 21 years as a practice nurse. She is also experienced in accident and emergency, and coronary and intensive care. Employed as a full-time practice nurse in 2001 at Remuera Doctors, her current role is Practice Manager, in addition to clinical work. Keren is a Certified Vaccinator and Certified Smear Taker. Lynda WelcomeSenior Practice Nurse Qualified in 1977, Lyndas previous experience is in burns management. Lynda has been in primary care for 13 years. She joined Remuera Doctors in February 2002 as a full-time practice nurse. Lynda is a Certified Vaccinator and Certified Smear Taker. Celia DeePractice Nurse Qualified in 1990, Celia joined Remuera Doctors in March 2008. Previous experience is in respiratory care, sleep management, general medicine and aged care. She has completed her Vaccinator course.
